Words get proposed and unlocked collaboratively, one at a time, until a shared poem takes shape — then it's kept, replayable, in an archive.

What it is
A collaborative poem-editing tool — contributors unlock and propose words into a shared piece rather than writing in isolation. Finished poems are meant to go through a small "naming ceremony" and land in a public archive, with a playback animation showing how each one was built up word by word.
Where it stands
Of everything in Tools & Projects, Trace is the closest to actually being live — but it's not confirmed live yet. There's a real blocking bug (unlockWord is not defined) in the core word-unlocking interaction, and several pieces are still unwired: the archive, the playback animation, the naming-ceremony database, email notifications (via Resend), and abuse protection.
This page describes Trace honestly as it stands — nothing here is aspirational. The Launch button turns on once the bug's fixed and the missing pieces are wired in.
